So, in addition to being an occasional blogger, I admit to being a bit of a blog-reading addict. One of the blogs I regularly read is written by CK’s 2007 Scrapper of the Year, Elizabeth Kartchner. Well, recently she had a post up asking for prayers for a beautiful wife and mother of four small children. Her name is Stephanie Nielson and she and her husband were horribly burned in a plane crash last week.
From Liz’s blog, I linked first to Stephanie’s blog and read some of her posts, just prior to her accident. I got a feel for what an amazing, dedicated wife and mother she is, and perhaps more importantly, for what amazing stewards of the Lord she and her family are. But, of course, being the blog addict I am, I couldn’t stop there. I next linked to Stephanie’s sister’s blog and got to read some more in-depth updates on the couple’s conditions.
I can’t stress enough how moved I am…. to the very core of my being, my heart aches for this family and for the trial they must now endure. I am amazed at their faith, their love, and their ability to cope in the face of this tragedy. I am INSPIRED by their Christian example. They are truly awe-inspiring… there aren’t words to adequately express how much this family has touched me tonight.
So, I feel compelled to help… in whatever way I can. I don’t have many blog readers, but I want to appeal to those of you who are out there to please visit Stephanie’s blog – get to know her, her husband and her children. She’s got it all there for you to see. Then, go visit her sister’s blog… read up on the couple’s condition, get a feel for what an amazing Christian family they all are. And then, if you feel compelled, send a card…. or use the donate button on the left…. but most importantly, please say a prayer that the Lord’s Will be done and that he watch over Stephanie, Christian, their children and the whole Clark and Nielson families in their time of need. Thanks for reading my post tonight and for doing what your heart leads you to do…. and hug your family a little tighter tonight, ok? Tracy
