I know I don’t usually do this kind of thing, but tonight, I am feeling compelled!! At my mom’s urging, Erick and I finally got our hands on a copy of August Rush (2007) and watched it tonight. All I can say about it is that WORDS FAIL…. this movie has grabbed a chord in my heart and held on for dear life. I have not been so moved, so touched, so emotionally absorbed in a film in a really long time. All I can say is, if you haven’t seen it, you need to. Movies like it keep a little bit of magic alive in the world, and we all need that, don’t we?
It’s quite possibly the best movie I’ve seen in a really, really long time. Not. Kidding. I was recently doing a search on movies that Jonathan Rhys-Meyers was in and came across this movie…we loved it too. He is awesome in The Tudors and I loved his role in August Rush. Great pick!!!
