Howdy everyone. Are you ready to be challenged? I think I’ve come up with a good one for you this week! Before we get started though, last week, our challenge included Erica’s cool color wheel and using complimentary colors. We have a beautiful layout belonging to our winner Robin. Isn’t it amazing??
Congrats on winning a free kit Robin. Enjoy!
So this week, I’m calling the challenge Kris’ Favorite Things. Here’s how it will work….
Take these things I love and find some way to incorporate them in your layout:
1. Circles! Your solid/patterned paper doesn’t need to be cut in circles but your photos do.
2. NO TITLES – I believe some layouts are just better without them and they can just take up space. Locations and dates are fine. Let your pictures do the talking.
3. Stitching somewhere…I think for me, it will just never go out of style.
4. Bling – It can be a lot or a little. Glitter, rhinestones, whatever. It just adds zing, even with boys.
That’s it! Easy right? Here’s what I came up with using the Trixie Scraps/Sarah Bennett Collab Sunday Afternoon
And some of the girls from the team played along, too… check out these inspiration layouts!
Jen completed the challenge using the Icy Days Mini Kit and other various elements from some of Trixie’s kits.
Trixie also decided to play along and used My Summer Garden being released this Friday.
You have one week to complete this challenge – please leave a comment on this post with a link to your finished layout! Next week, we’ll choose a winner from among the completed layouts who will receive a FREE kit of their choice from Trixie’s store! The winner will be announced next week, along with our next challenge. See you then and have fun playing along!
