Hello! Bethany here with another installment of “Who are You? Wednesday” where we take a moment to stop and spotlight Trixie Fans, Scrappers who use Trixie products (we love perusing the gallery at Scrap Matters for potential spotlights) Trixie CT Members, Trixie Collab Partners and Friends. This week, I chose to spotlight Trixie Scrap’s Guest CT for the month of May (and our newest permanent member) Scrapmelly. Here is a fun little Q&A.
Tell us something fun or unique about yourself?
My hubby and I met while playing an online game called The Sims Online. We were friends for months, but eventually realized there were more than friendly feelings between us. We met in person on New Year’s Eve in 2006 and got married in March of 2009.
How did you find Trixie Scraps?
When I first started digi-scrapping back in 2007, a friend at Cafe Mom knew about ScrapMatters. Then when I came back to the digi-world last September, ScrapMatters was where I started. It was then that I saw Tracy’s designs there and fell in love with them!
What do you scrap about?
A little bit of everything, but mostly my two [super cute!] kids. I also try to scrap about everyday things – that’s why I got into Project 365
What inspires your layouts, ie: templates, others galleries, kits, etc?
I absolutely love me some templates! I make them myself too, but I have an insane amount of templates on my EHD. Since I’m also a ScrapMatters Girl I spend a lot of time in the gallery and I’m always adding layouts to my favorites for ideas or just plain lifting.
Why do you like digital scrapbooking?
Mostly that I can experiment without wasting supplies. I can play around with something and not worry about ruining a $2.00 piece of paper. It’s also a lot more cost effective. And no mess!
What kind of music do you like?
A little of everything, though I tend to lean towards mostly pop/hip hop, rock and country. Odd mixture I know, but that’s what happens when you’re from Atlanta lol.
What is one thing you love about where you live?
Not much! I guess the best part about where we live is the river. We live along the Colorado river, right where AZ, CA and NV meet. It gets super hot here in the summer, but the river is always nice and cold. I always kind of like the small town feel we have here.
How did you get involved in digital scrapping?
One of my sister in laws kind of plays with it [though she’s not quite obsessed as I am] and she posted a layout she made on her blog. I googled “digital scrapbooking” and the rest is history!
When do you scrap?
Usually in the evenings but with Queen of Scrap going on at Scrap Matters right now, it’s more like every free moment I have!
What is one of your favorite elements to use?
String, hands down. I love string that’s looped around so I can wind it in and out of other things.
Besides scrapbooking, what is some other interests you have?
You mean there’s other things to do? I do enjoy reading, especially when we are on one of our many long drives for different things. Other things would be watching movies, playing board games, playing with the kids and playing computer/console games.
