Hello Fantastic Fans!
I hope you’re having a fantastic Tuesday! I know today is stressful for me, as my hubby is having surgery on his back, but really, we’re so excited! He’s been down and out for over 3 weeks!
Today I’m going to go over something I mentioned in a post a few weeks back {durring the interview of Trixie} about Oobs.
What are oobs?
Well, it has been an joke on the Stars team for quite some time. And one day we found that Oobs can also be a scrapping term! GO FIGURE! We thought we were just nuts! So, if you’re a scrapper, Oobs means Out Of Bounds. Its a fancy technique on how to get your pictures to come to life almost! It’s amazing, and in all honesty, I’ve NEVER been able to feel like I could achieve it.
Mostly, because I STINK at extraction. I have no patience for it!
But after some fantastic google searching {Try: Adobe Photoshop Extraction Tutorial} I saw several video tutorials on how to extract.
I’m sure it just takes patience.
Try searching with your program name in there too. There are hundreds of tutorials out there!
But basically, the idea is to make one part of your picture seem like it is coming OUT of the picture. Does that make sense?
Here is a great example of an out of bound layout!
Here Carrin cropped the photo shorter, but left the lighthouse the original size, and made it come out of the photo!
Using Oceanside kit
Jen used Sk8ter Boy
Now with all this talk of oobs, I feel like giving it another shot. What about you? Wanna try it with me?
One last thing, I’ve got a freebie for you today as well. It’s an iPhone wallpaper OR a Badge album quickpage. Your pick!
I used Daisy Crazy by Trixie Scraps and Madame Wing for this one!
Have a great day! Thanks for swinging by!
