Hello again, I’m Theresa, and welcome to another Challenge Thursday! Last week, Carrin challenged us to spin-a-lift, meaning we were to take inspiration from another scrapper’s layout, scraplift it, but rotate it! I guess everyone must be full swing into summer, since there were no entries for last week’s challenge! I hope everyone will play along with me this week!
Are you ready for another challenge? This week’s challenge is all about journalling. This is sometimes the hardest part of a layout for me, sometimes it’s the inspiration! This week, I want to challenge you to journal a few sentences on your layout, AND I want it to be on something other than a background paper (which I so often do!). Your journalling can be on a mat, on strips, on a tag, on the photo, anywhere but on the background paper itself.
For this challenge I used Old Glory by Trixie Scraps Designs and Sarah Bennett. You wouldn’t think the Canadian on the team would find many uses for this kit, but I’ve fallen in love with it’s country charm and rich colors! And I put my journalling on strips from Trixie Scrap Design’s 7-UP Journallers! Now, I’m not a project 365 girl myself, but these journallers are just so darn convenient when I need a little “extra something” on my page!
And some of the girls from the team played along, too… check out these inspiration layouts!
Here’s one by Carrin using Saffron Blues! This is turning out to be one of my favorite collab kits!
and one from Bethie using pink and green papers and elements from Santa’s Workshop (can you believe this LO was made with a CHRISTMAS kit? wow!), brown items from The First Feast and a little accent from Hot for the Teacher!
You have one week to complete this challenge – please leave a comment on this post with a link to your finished layout! Next week, we’ll choose a winner from among the completed layouts who will receive a FREE kit of their choice from Trixie’s store! The winner will be announced next week, along with our next challenge. See you then and have fun playing along!
