Hello scrappers! I hope you all are having a superb Sunday! I’m Carrin and I’d like to welcome you to the first Sunday Spotlight post (formerly Who Are You Wednesday) on Trixie Scraps’ new and improved blog! For those of you who are not followers of the blog (and you all SHOULD be!), every two weeks we will feature someone who is highly involved in the world of digital scrapping. It may be one of Trixie’s frequent customers, a CT member, a collab partner or even YOU! This week, I decided to interview someone who not only produces stellar scrap kits, but someone who also knows how to rock a layout. Just check this one out, using Sunday Afternoon, Trixie’s collab with Sarah Bennett…
Without further ado, let me introduce you to the one and only Miss Connie Prince!
How did you discover digiscrap?
I discovered digital scrapbooking by accident I think! I was a paper scrapper and a web graphics designer at the time, so I’m sure I was searching for something on Google!
When did you start designing?
I began designing in 2006-2007.
What inspires your designs?
I pull inspiration from many different places! If I ever get stumped, my friends or creative team will have great suggestions waiting for me!
What color(s) do you absolutely love use in your designs? What color(s) do you avoid?
I love primary colors, they just seem to go with so many different things! I have a harder time using pastels and especially pink! I love those colors, but having only a boy my eye usually goes towards things that I can use for his pages!
What is the one element you couldn’t design a kit without?
Ribbon! I love ribbon!
You’ve done a couple of collabs with Trixie. Which one is your favorite?
I really love our last collab, Take Me Away!
How about Trixie’s solo kits…is there one that you just love?
Her Autumn On The Lake kit is stunning, I love it!
Do you find any time to scrap for yourself? Care to share some pages?
Making time to scrap my own pages has become a new priority for me! I’ve been making sure that I work on something at least one day per week.
One last question…you have an hour of free time, how do you spend it? It might seem like a waste of time, but if I had one hour of free time, I’d try to take a nap! Between being a full-time designer and homeschooling my son, I never seem to get enough sleep!
So there you have it, folks! I hope I provided you with a little bit of an insight into the life of a fellow digi-scrapper. Until next time, friends, keep scrapping and sharing your wonderful creations. You never know…you may be the next scrapper caught in our spotlight!
