Hey there! I’m really excited about this blog train because the kit everyone used to make their goodies is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! And did you know it’s free with a $20 purchase from ScrapMatters this weekend? Well… it is. So, first let me give you a little look-see at the kit that inspired this train – it’s soooo pretty, right?
Moving right along… obviously, the theme of this particular blogtrain is thankfulness and if y’all have been reading my blog for a while, you know that when we do a blogtrain at ScrapMatters, we like to have everyone tell a story (on a theme) along with the freebie. This year? Of course, we’re telling you what we’re thankful for. Mine is simple… I’m thankful this year is almost over. Maybe that sounds a bit melodramatic (ok, maybe a lot)… but this has honestly been one of the hardest, if not THE hardest year of my life. It’s been a Murphy’s Law type of year and there was a lot that went wrong. But, I’m almost through it, I think… and there is still a roof over my head, food on my table, a husband I love snoring loudly next to me every night (lol), and an extended family that has made it through some crises this year mostly unscathed. I have a business I’ve worked hard at for the last two years that is seeing some success now, and a team of ladies working for me who really make my days brighter. A lot went wrong, for sure… but a lot went right, too. And I’m thankful for it. I did this layout to remember this time in my life. It’s made with one of my own kits named Bring on the Rain. The journaling is blurred because its a little too personal to share with the world but, the basic gist is… We’ll Be OK… and that’s something to be thankful for!
So, on to the freebie… I have this stacked paper+template for you today! I must give credit to Tanya Riley for the idea, as I stole it from her. And I sort of love it! It’s a stacked paper, all pre-decorated… but then there are some template pieces stacked on top to help you really make the layout all your own. Cool, right? I hope you enjoy the freebie – just click on the preview to download it.
And now to the nitty gritty so you can be on your way! 🙂 You most likely arrived here from my friend and fellow designer Chelle’s blog, and now, you should head on off to visit another designer friend, Maria (ScrapMuss). Don’t worry if you get lost because you can find the entire list of stops on the ScrapMatters blog. Thanks for stopping by to visit me today – have a great Digital Scrapbook Day! ♥ Trixie Scraps ♥
