I’m so excited to announce that I’m starting a month-long guest spot at Funky Playground today! This has been a long time in the making and I’m thrilled to be hanging out with Michelle Batton and her team this month:
In celebration, I’ve got a special release to kick it all off! This kit is part of the November Playgroup at Funky Playground. Our task was to study the art of Leonid Afremov and allow it to inspire us as we created a kit or products for the Playground this month. Mr. Afremov often uses rainy themes and umbrellas in his work and his colors are wonderful. It was just the inspiration to work on a kit I’ve been wanting to make all year and I really love how this one turned out. I used the rainy theme and the rich blue, brown and gray I saw in his work to create Bring on the Rain.
Sometimes, it just seems like a black cloud parks itself over your head and just won’t go away! Bring on the Rain is meant for scrapping those times. Life is not always perfect and it’s okay to scrap about it! It’s often the best kind of “therapy” there is for working out feelings, thoughts, and emotions and I hope this kit helps you get through the hard times. But, as you can see from the CT layouts below, the kit is pretty versatile, too! The Scrap Stars have used this kit for everything from photos of their little boys to photos of their loves and more! The kit contains 14 papers, 65 elements and 1 unicase alpha with numbers and punctuation included.
Here’s a closer look at the papers and elements – and some gorgeous CT layouts below to inspire you!
Before I show you all the beautiful CT layouts, I wanted to be sure to show you the November event list at Funky Playground – it’s going to be a busy, fun month!! I have loaded about 30 of my products (so far) to the store there – and they’ll be on sale starting tomorrow!
OK, and now for those beautiful CT layouts! Make sure to stay tuned throughout this weekend… I’ll have TONS of sale info for you throughout this week and a slew of new goodies on Friday, too! I love DSD, don’t you?
