I was interviewed for a Scrap Matters newsletter and asked who I drew inspiration from. I answered with two of the CT members, Stacy and Bree, along with neeceebee (Denise Beatty). I asked Denise if she would be so kind to answer a few questions for our Sunday Spotlight.
What is your name? Denise Beatty
What is your screen name that people know you by? neeceebee
Where do you live? Virginia
Who is in your immediate family? me, my husband troy, and my six kids
What would you say is your biggest inspiration for creating your layouts?
I like to take my inspiration from the kits I use. I love to play with color and elements and see where they lead me.
Is there one subject you like scrapping more than others, and why?
by far my family. I started scrapping so I could keep a family history and I really want each of my pages to tell our family’s story.
How long have you been scrapping? 3 years ago.
Were you a paper scrapper or have you always been digital?
I was a long time paper scrapper, but it was too hard with the kids to drag my stuff out and put it away, so eventually I just stopped taking it out. thank goodness for digi.
Do you create hybrid crafts, and if so, what is your favorite project to date?
hybrid scares me a little, so I pretty much stick to digi.
What type of activities are you involved in?
I am a photographer and spend the rest of my time with my family.
How many layouts do you create in a year?
well, I used to create several hundred layouts a year, but now I am lucky to do one or two. as my kids have gotten older, they have gotten busier, so I just try to squeeze in what i can.
What are you compassionate about?
wow. hard question. I really hate to see people suffering. it makes me especially sad when it’s kids. the economy has been so tough on so many families…so many are struggling to get by. I wish I could help them all.
Thank you Denise!
