A good way to pass the evenings that seem to get longer as Christmas approaches is to pile into the car and drive around to see other families Christmas decorations. Burn your iTunes Christmas playlist to CD, take your camera, swing by Starbucks for hot chocolate (or make and bring your own), and spend some time driving around enjoying the lights. Make special note of those over-the-top decorators, and houses that really did a great job with their lights. Poll your family for their favorites. For even more interesting photos, set-up your camera and then let your older kids take the pictures of the houses they love, too!
