Happy Monday and welcome to another edition of Make it Hybrid Monday! The last two weeks of the year typically are a flurry of lots of baking and candy for me and today, we’ll be looking at a quick and easy hybrid way to package up those treats for last minute gifts. You can use this technique with any digi kit and with any paper scrapbook supplies that you may be collecting/hoarding.
The only thing that you need in order to create a cute little pouch for your goodies is a square sheet of lightweight cardstock or double sided printed paper. In this example, I am using a paper from Trixie Scraps’ upcoming mystery kit that you have been seeing the CT work with all month long. Fold your piece of paper diagonally in half and make sure that the points match as close as possible.
Once you’ve completed that fold, take one of the lower folded corners and fold it to the middle of the other side of your paper.
Repeat on the other side and take the other lower folder corner and fold it over to the middle of the other side of the paper.
Finally, take one layer of the top of your triangle corner and fold it down over the front. Attach with glue dots and other attachments as preferred. Decorate with embellishments and fill with treats. I created this with 2 papers from the upcoming mystery kit and printed them back to back to create double sided printed cardstock and one sided printed cardstock from the recent Trixie Scrap release Winter On the Mountain.
Here is your daily download freebie for the day- a sheet of tags to use for those last minute gifts. Click on the preview to download and don’t forget that the links expire in 48 hours!
