Hi all!
Carolyn here to bring you this week’s Sunday Spotlight. I had seen Beth around the galleries, but I REALLY started to notice her once I joined Tracy’s CT team. Beth is the most awesome clusterer I have ever met! I admire her greatly and want to “be” her!!! When I asked her if she would let us shine the spotlight on her, she graciously accepted and answered these questions:
Tell us something fun or unique about yourself?
I am a very short person. I come in at a whopping 5’0″!
How did you find Trixie Scraps?
Blog hopping one day, I found a dear friend of mine from high school who I hadn’t seen since graduation. We arranged a play date since we lived fairly close to each other. While our kids were playing, we discussed digital scrapbooking and Trixie just happened to have a CT call going on. The rest is history.
What do you scrap about?
I scrap about everything- but the layouts that make it to my online galleries are generally about my kids because they are so darn adorable and usually the only thing I have to relieve my photography addiction. Poor things!
What inspires your layouts, ie: templates, others galleries, kits, etc?
I love to browse galleries and blogs of fellow scrappers. There are so many talented scrappers and so many unique ideas, it gets my creative juices flowing. I also sometimes just have an idea pop in my head out of no where, those are usually my favorite layouts.
Why do you like digital scrapbooking?
I love all the ways you can manipulate materials- the photos, embellishments, papers, titles, and on and on. I always felt so restricted by paper scrapping, it was a rush to be able to put as many buttons or ribbons on a layout as my little heart desired or to cut out a title with the click of a button. It is easier, faster, cheaper, and I feel more creative doing it.
What kind of music do you like?
Oh, this and that. I have my Pandora set to a Florence and the Machine channel and I am pleased with about anything that pops up.
What is one thing you love about where you live?
It is just the right size, not too big, not too small. Family friendly and close but not too close to family.
How did you get involved in digital scrapping?
Freebies
When do you scrap?
During nap time. Mid afternoon. Or after everyone goes to bed. Or if I am having a bad day, any old time I want!
What is one of your favorite elements to use?
Definitely foliage. It adds so much to a layout. Next up would be ribbons and stitches.
Besides scrapbooking, what are some other interests you have?
Photography but that doesnt really count because that is what drives most scrappers, I think. I love music, reading, Modern Family , I am a huge history buff and health.
Anything else?
This is the most info I have ever given out at one time online. I am usually a pretty private person. But this was fun.
Do you have a favorite(s) kit/template of Tracy’s?
My favorite kit at the moment is Winter on the Mountain. It just tickles my red loving fancy.
Here is a preview of that fabulous kit:
Here are a few of Beth’s favorite layouts (and mine too!):
(made with Bedtime Darling)
(made with Lovey Days Mini Kit and Love Me Some White Space Volume 3

Thanks Beth!!! Hope you all enjoyed getting to know Beth as much as I did! All her fabulous layouts have inspired me to cluster my heart out!
