Sunday Spotlight on Erica

Hi there, I hope that everyone is having a great day. Today I would like to spotlight one of Trixie Scraps layout artists Erica. I had a chance to meet Erica about a month a go and the thing I like most about her other than her amazing scrapbooking talent, is her spunky personality. She always has a joke ready for everything. Thanks for the great time. I took a little time to ask her some questions and get to know her a little better and thought I would share them with you today as we spotlight Erica.

How long have you been digiscrapping?
I started in April of 2008- WOW 3 years ago! I have come so far since those first couple of layouts.

What is one digi scrap product that you couldn’t live without? I love ribbons and strings, they are in most of my layouts.

How long have you been on Trixie Scraps team?
I think a year and a half?? Time is flying by too fast, but it does especially when you are having fun!

What is your Favorite Kit of Trixie’s? Croaky Kisses is one of my favorite kits. It is super girly- but I was able to pull out a fun layout of my boys with it, plus using a fabulous template from Trixie Scraps. My favorite color is purple, but I love purple and green together.

What is your favorite layout that you have made with Trixie’s products? This is probably one of my favorite layouts- however that was really hard to choose just one!

Other than Scrapbooking what other talents do you have?
I have started to dabble a little in photography. I’m not really that good yet, but I am having fun playing and learning. I am a cosmetologist- and work part time out of my home. So I would say that I have a very artistic talent with hair too.

Tell me about your family.
I have been married for almost 11 years. My husband is wonderful, who works so hard for us. I have three boys- ages 8 1/2, 5, and 2. They are the main subjects for my layouts. I live in Colorado, where I have lived my whole life. Different cities, but the same state.

Do you travel? If so tell me your favorite destination.
I have been a few places here and there. I do love to travel- however I am not a big world traveler, more of a state side traveler. Just before I married my husband, my parents took my whole family to Norway- that was amazing! My favorite vacations would have to have been Washington D.C. and Hawaii. I have a huge love for our nation and where it all began, so seeing the history was wonderful. Hawaii, well it really is paradise.
