Happy Monday and welcome to another edition of Make It Hybrid Monday! Paper firecrackers bring a little bit of my favorite part of today’s holiday inside and are a quick and easy project to create. Using Old Glory, a Trixie Scraps collab with Sarah Bennett, I created a firecracker favor and decoration in just a few easy steps and you can too!
To create a firecracker favor, you will need the following supplies:
– 8.5 x 5 inch piece of patterned paper
– ribbon
– tissue paper
– candy and treats
– adhesive
Step 1: Overlay the tissue paper on top of the unprinted/ white side of the patterned paper. Roll the 8.5 x 5 inch piece of patterned paper and tissue into a tube shape and adhere the ends
Step 2: Tie one side with ribbon. Fill with candy/ treats and tie the other side with ribbon. Decorate the outside with labels and tags as desired
To create a firecracker decoration, you will need the following supplies:
– 8.5 x 5 inch piece of patterned paper
– ribbon
– tissue paper
– 1/2 of a 6 inch circle of patterned paper
– adhesive
Step 1: Overlay the tissue paper on top of the unprinted/ white side of the patterned paper. Roll the 8.5 x 5 inch piece of patterned paper and tissue into a tube shape and adhere ends
Step 2: Tie the end with ribbon
Step 3: If you haven’t already, cut the 6 inch circle in half. Roll the half circle into cone shape and adhere the ends. Then, adhere the cone onto tube and decorate as desired
Some other uses for these simple firecrackers:
– To use these as table centerpieces, insert a skewer through the bottom and put in a glass jar
– To hang these, attach a loop of string through the top of the cone before adhering the ends together
– To use these as table cards, add names to each firecracker at each place setting
Hope that this post inspires you to create and don’t forget to link us up with any projects you do create with Trixie Scraps products so that we can leave you some love. Happy crafting!
