A fun photo op to pass the time at family Christmas Eve celebrations is a homemade photo booth.

Hang a background of some sort. This can be a solid color sheet or even a pre-made background available at any party store.

Lay out some holiday themed props. Santa hats, garland, tinsel, elf hats, red noses, and reindeer antlers come to mind.

Set up a camera with a self-timer and a sticky note pointing to the appropriate button.

You may want to take people’s pictures as they arrive and then invite people to visit the photobooth throughout the day/evening for even more fun photos!
