Welcome to Sunday Spotlight. Jamie here to bring you an interview of our new Word Art Artist Melinda. I asked Melinda some questions so we could all get to know her better.
When did you start digi-scrapping and why? 2004 or 2005 is when I started collecting freebies to make myself signature tags for using on mommy chat boards. I remember starting a download before I went to bed, and hoping it would be there in the morning and that my dial-up hadn’t disconnected. Hee hee! In 2006 when I got DSL, I learned there were a lot more ways to use those downloads, and I was able to get them SO much faster … and so I started making full-size pages for printing.
How long have you been creating word art? I’ve only been creating word art for sale for a few months, actually! People often struggle to come up with titles, and I like to be able to help with that!
What is your favorite memory growing up? Fourth of July holidays are probably some of my favorite memories. For quite a while there, it was a tradition to watch a water-ski show, hang out for a while, and then go up to the park to watch the city’s huge fireworks show at the ball park. It was always a really good time. What is your go to element? It’s a rare page of mine if it doesn’t have leaves and/or flowers on it somewhere!
What is your favorite Trixie Kit? There are so many kits I love, but a recent favorite is Rescue Me because of the topic, and because it’s so darned CUTE! What is your favorite layout you have created with Trixie Scraps Products? My favorite layout right now is 4-wheelin with Papa. It’s my first layout since officially being on the team!
