Hello scrappers! Today I have an easy-peasy photo challenge for you.
I’d like you to take a photo (or photos) of something in your neighborhood. It could be your home, a tree, a park, the stop sign that everybody ignores (we had one in my neighborhood when I was growing up). Perhaps it’s the dog on the corner that barks at you whenever you’re on a bike ride, or the coffee shop down the street where you stop every morning. Use your imagination, grab your camera, and snap a photo or two of something that makes your area ‘home’ to you.
Let me tell you why I chose this particular challenge. I really wish that I had done this when I was younger…I have one photo of the home that I grew up in…the home that I lived in for 22 years. And that photo was taken before I was born, when the house was painted a different color. So the photo that I have doesn’t really look like the house that I lived in. But it’s all that I have. And as for my neighbood, there are no photos of the U-Totem that my BFF and I roller skated to…no photos of the big neighborhood signs that are probably not even there anymore. The things that I recall from my youth are stuck in my head, and I really wish I had those photos now to share with my daughter. And so now, I am making sure to snap photos of random things that say ‘home’ to me.
Here’s what I came up with for this challenge. I used Trixie’s Best Guy Ever kit to scrap this layout about our neighborhood park.
So, grab your camera, get some photos, and get scrapping! Once you’ve scrapped your layout with your favorite Trixie Scraps goodies, upload your page to the TS Challenge gallery so that you can be included in our ShowOffs slideshow and win a prize!
