Another week down, another week closer to the end of the summer. Time sure does seem to be flying by lately. Before I know it, fall will be here and we’ll be getting ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves here, we still have a few weeks of summer left to enjoy. This was another awesome week here at Trixie Scraps, so lets take a look back.
On Thursday, Mary Kate set out a challenge to all of you to use the word FUN on a layout. Seems like a perfect word to use on some summer photos if you ask me. If you want to play along and complete a layout for this challenge be sure to share your completed layout in the Trixie Scraps Gallery so that you can be a Show Off and earn an awesome prize.
Saturday brought us a brand new Trixie Scraps collection as part of the August Gotta Grab It event over at Gotta Pixel. Apples for Teacher is the perfect for scrapping all of those fabulous back to school photos that I’m sure many of you will be getting over the next few weeks.
This collection features an element/alpha pack, a paper pack, cardstock, a bonus paper pack, a bonus alpha pack, and the most recent Layer Lovers template pack. To top it all off, there was a very special coordinating freebie in Saturday’s post, so be sure to go pick it up.
Many of you got a chance to shine on Show Off Sunday. We had three weeks worth of YOUR layouts to share with everyone, and they were just as impressive as ever. We really do love seeing all the wonderful memories that you scrap with Trixie Scraps products, so be sure to keep posting your layouts in the gallery.
We really got spoiled this week, because Monday saw the release of another all new Trixie Scraps collection, Rise to It, for the Grab-a-Byte sale at Scrapbook-Bytes. I’m pretty sure this is going to be one of my new favorites. This collection includes the kit elements/alpha pack, the kit papers pack, embossed cardstock, a bonus paper pack, and a bonus alpha pack.
Once again, there was a special little treat left behind in the Monday blog post, so do be sure to go grab it.
I don’t know about you, but I am a huge fan of testing out new techniques on my photos, and on Tuesday Shilo gave us a fantastic tutorial for how to create sepia-toned photos in Corel Paintshop Pro. I really love the looks she created, and can’t wait to test them out myself.
Well that’s it for another week. Hope you’re all savoring the end of summer.
Oh! One last thing. Make sure to mark the next Trixie Scraps Speed Scrap down on your calendars. It’s sure to be a ton of fun, and you’ll even get a neat prize for playing along.
