Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all have some fun plans this weekend before October comes and sweeps all the heat out of the air. I actually love October and Fall, but best of all I love Halloween. Trixie has once again worked with Connie Prince and together they’ve come up with a more sophisticated Halloween kit. It is called One Haunted Evening and our stars have seriously outdone themselves with this kit.
First we’ve got Erica. I love her one paper background as well as all the circles, even her photo in a circle. Her cluster work is amazing and adds just that extra bit of color to make this page really stand out.
Mary Kate’s is the perfect Halloween costume page. Love the blended photo on this one and the subtle bats around her cute little Batgirl. Her cluster work is great and adds just what’s needed to complete the page. I also like that there is no journaling needed – the title and photo say it all.
Then we have a lot of stars who thought outside of the box with this kit. Seriously, I was amazed at how many of our stars used this kit for layouts that had nothing at all to do with Halloween. Who doesn’t love a versatile kit?
Wedding photos, with a Halloween Kit!?!?! Seriously never would’ve thought of that one, but Helen did an amazing job. You’d have no idea looking at her page that it was made with a Halloween themed kit. I love her focal photo and the simple phrase attached with it. Her circle photos on the bottom bring in the color and help make this page.
Stacey’s page is very heartfelt. I really enjoyed reading the story. I love this page about remembering something about her Grandmother. I love that it’s not a simple Grandma was great at this and that – but that this page delves into something Grandma was totally interested in and how Stacey wishes she could’ve had the chance to be involved alongside her Grandma. Such a touching story and I love that she thought to use the Halloween kit for a Tigers themed page!
Finally we have a page from Beth. Family photos are always a tricky thing for me to scrap – there’s just too many options and I don’t want to overload the picture. Beth did a great job and I love her use of white space. Her flower clusters and ribbons add that extra pop and I like that she used a black and white photo to go along with the feel of the kit.
So there you have it, a few new ideas for a wonderful new kit. Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box and if you need even more convincing that this kit is a must have, you can check out more layouts in the gallery.
