Saturday With The Stars: September Templatetopia

Happy Saturday everyone! It’s time for another round of Saturday With The Stars. This week the Stars got the chance to work with a template kit that was released yesterday called September Templatetopia.

I love templates! They are perfect for when you are stuck in a rut and feel like you just can’t get a page done. This kit has 16 templates total and a lot of them use the blended photo technique. Our Stars did some awesome work this week and I always have a hard time choosing the few to share with you, but you can see all of them in the Trixie Scraps Gallery.

The first page to really catch my eye was done by one of our guest artists, Berniek. I really do love the blended photo trend going on right now and Berniek blended her photo wonderfully. It caught my eye immediately. I love that she chose to use a black & white photo for the blended photo, with just the little pink bow colored. That choice brought the rest of the layout together.

I love Stacy’s color choices. The background paper matches her daughter’s dress almost perfectly. I love that Stacy used some plain colors on top of the background but below the pictures so that this page isn’t so busy.

Kris’ page is just beautiful. Blending is an awesome way to incorporate a scenic picture. Then using the template there’s still plenty of room for other pictures. I love this page and now I need to add photographing a sunset to my to-do list.

Mary Kate’s use of the template is awesome. This is a great way to scrap a couple pictures of the same kid. I like that there is one with more background and then one so close up. I sometimes hate to crop a picture because the background is so pretty, but this is the perfect way to make both sides of my brain happy.

I am in love with the colors Shauna used on her page. Something about it is very calming and that dog is just too cute. I love her simple embellishment work at the top, it adds just a little something more to the white space. I also enjoy all the circles underneath her photos.

No matter what you have that needs to be scrapped September’s Templatetopia is sure to give you the extra boost you need. These templates are so versatile – you’ll be completing layouts like there’s no tomorrow.
