Good Morning Trixie Scraps fans! I’m not sure about you, but I am getting a head start on my Christmas Plans this year. Now that I’m working full-time and my son is in preschool, I thought I needed to get myself a planning journal to help me get organized. But looking at my options, I wasn’t too satisfied. So, I created my own.
Starting with a composition notebook sized 7.5 by 9.75, coupled with a few 6×9 envelopes, I customized a design using 31 Days Has December kit and cardstocks.
After designing, I printed and cut out all the pages and elements. I adhered a ribbon to my to the notebook cover and then placed my designed cover and back cover on top using mod podge.
I figured out my dividers. Up front houses my calendar, taking up 7 pages. I found these awesome weekly calendar printables that you can customize, print and adhere to the inside your Christmas Planner!
My next tab is my budget tab, with 2 envelopes with their coordinating labels, Coupons and Receipts. Inside, I’ll use the first page to keep track of my overall holiday budget. In the following pages, I’ll write down each individual purchase by split by category. I placed my coupon envelope inside that tab, with easy access, my receipts envelope is right next to it.
My gift tab comes next, with my gift and card planning pages.
And finally, my food section. Between the office, preschool, family and friends, I can be sure I have all my potluck info written down and figured out. I even attached an envelope for my recipes. And that completes my planning journal.
Here’s the freebie download. It includes everything you’ll need to get started on making your own Christmas Planning Journal! I hope you like it!!
