Now that I’ve got Halloween out of the way I can start focusing on gifts for the Holidays.
Scrapbook Calendars have been around forever, but I’ve come up with something that’s slightly different. The inspiration for this project came with the knowledge that my Grandma spent the start of every year transferring birthdays from one calendar to another. What a tedious task and a task that started proving more and more difficult for her.
I decided she needed a scrapbook calendar specifically for birthdays. With a large family, I figured it was also nice for her to put faces with some of the new babies that were being born. This was a gift that was received quite warmly and everyone commented on how great a gift it was. It is a gift that I repeat almost yearly, but it’s always a bit new. It’s also a gift that she keeps displayed throughout the year – it serves a purpose.
I decided it probably wasn’t wise to share my Grandmother’s gift with the internet world to protect the privacy of extended family members, so I made a couple pages with my mom in mind.
For November I used the kit Quality Time:
For December I used Winter On The Mountain:
This is such a simple, yet heartfelt gift and you’re sure to get complimented on it. Plus this is a gift you can have completed in just a couple days, which is perfect for the craziness the holidays bring. We’d love to see your work in the gallery if you choose to create some birthday scrapbook calendar gifts of your own.
