Sometimes how you decorate your Christmas tree is almost as important as what you put on it. Be sure to make a note about any traditions around this event. Pay special attention to the stories around your own childhood memories as you work on bringing Christmas into your home. In my house, we always had to wait for Mom and Dad to put the lights and garland on the tree before we could start decorating. Sometimes it was days between the time the bare tree went up (because my brother an I couldn’t wait!) and when my parents had time to start the decorating. I was reminded of that this year as my kids anxiously waited for me to get the ribbons on our tree so they could start hanging ornaments!

Journaling
Is tree decorating an event in your house?
Do you have to do all of the decorating or does the family help?
Have you ever rearranged the decorations after the kids were done?
Do you have multiple trees?
