Hello there Trixie Scraps fans, and welcome to the weekend! I hope all of you have managed to avoid the nasty colds and flus that seem to be circulating everywhere these days. For those of you that are sick, which I sure am, make sure to take some time this weekend to take care of yourself. Today’s Saturday with the Stars will be a special flashback edition featuring a great kit that was released last year and is just perfect for Valentine’s Day, Always in My Heart.
I’m sure that most of you have a photo of a special someone in your life that is just waiting to be scrapped. This kit is perfect for expressing your love, from the love themed word art and pretty flowers, to the lovely soft pinks in the papers. I especially love those glittery hearts. Last February the Scrap Stars had a great time coming up with some gorgeous layouts, so let’s take a look back at them.
Those adorable photos are what caught my eye in this layout by Jennifer B. Such a cute little girl. They are accented perfectly by the circles of pink paper in the background, and the strip of flowers and hearts towards the bottom of the page gives just enough of a flourish to the page without being overwhelming.
I really love Stacey’s layout about her relationship with her husband. The pictures she chose for the layout do a great job of showing how they have changed over the years, and her journaling is so heartfelt. I really like the fun take on her title work too. That glittery paper along the edge of the layout gives it a fun look too.
Aurora was definitely my favorite Disney Princess growing up (I may be dating myself a bit by saying that), so I am super jealous of the little girls on this layout by Mary Kate. They got their own personal meet and greet with her, and looked beautiful doing so. The title of this page is just perfect, and I love the cluster of flowers and ribbons running down the side of the photo arrangement.
That face says it all! How could Carrin resist creating a page surrounding this fun photo. I love the use of the embossed cardstock down the right side of the page and the fabulous cluster around the photo. It really draws your eye in and makes the photo the focal point.
Erica has done a stunning job of using white space on this page. This page is so elegant, and that black and white photo on the white background with just a few pops of color looks so stunning. I love the cutout effect she used for those hearts, and the title could not be more perfect.
So if you’re looking for the perfect kit to scrap some pics of your Valentine, head to any one of the Trixie Scraps stores to pick up this kit. Not only is this a great kit, but most items in the store are on sale for 40% off until January 28, 2013, so you can get it at a great price too.
