Welcome to another weekend, Trixie fans. This week our Saturday With The Stars is a bit of a review. We didn’t want anyone to miss out on the newest releases, so today we’re going to quickly take a second look at them.

First up we have February’s Templatetopia.

I love templates. They seriously make digital scrapbooking so much easier. There are lots of fun layouts included in this pack and it really takes all the guess work out.

Let’s see what some of our stars did with a few of these templates:

Though the template Stacey used didn’t have a place for journaling, I like that she found a place to put some journaling anyway. I like that her frame is arranged in a different way than her picture is and the ribbons she used in her layout.

I love how uniform Carrin’s layout it. She used black and white pictures and brought color in with little swatches of paper, ribbon and elements. I also like that she put her girls in one section, her boys in another and all the kids together in the last section. Such a neat idea.

I like that Erica’s layout incorporates the colors in the photo. I also really like the ribbons being on a skewed angle and peeping out from behind the border papers. The clusters are a fun addition and I love the glittered squares behind the photo.

Another recent release was a wonderful kit called Heart Of A Friend.

The color palette is wonderful and I absolutely love all the papers and elements included in this kit. There are so many ways this kit can be used. Here’s just a look at what a few of our stars did with it:

Lori made a wonderful page and made the white space work for her. I love the way she masked her photo and all of her little clusters surrounding her page.

I seriously love all the hearts Carrin put on her page. A heart is probably my favorite shape. I really like that she used a subtle background color and then she chose to bring in the color with the hearts.

I like the uniformity in Erica’s layout. She kept the papers layered in the same way on both sides. She has wonderful clusters all over her page and I like the way that her page is designed so that our eyes follow the page in the best way.
