Happy Friday and Happy March!!! I am so stinkin’ excited that March is rolling in. I’m so sick of winter and I’m hoping that with the change of month, comes a quick change of seasons as well.

Let’s get on to today’s font though, shall we? The font I was looking for for this week had to meet three criteria.
#1 – It had to have a literary look to it.
#2 – It had to be legible.
#3 – It had to look somewhat cutesy.

I found the perfect font with Baar Sophia.

This font matched all my criteria: I thought it looked just literary enough that it could be used in a book, it was a legible font and it was cutesy with the little angles on some of the letters. I then went about making my layout and you’ll see why the ‘literary’ look was so important to me.

My layout was made using the kit and template pack for Take Me Away.

And while this font looks great on the layout at 100%, it is difficult to read in the resized format, so here’s a closeup of the font in action:
