Welcome to another weekend, Trixie Fans! If you’ve been reading this blog for any amount of time, you know that today is Saturday With The Stars – where we show you what our fantastic Stars have been doing with some of Trixie’s most recent kits.
One of those just happens to be called King Of The Pride. It is a fantastic kit for safari and zoo type photos, which is perfect for the summertime weather. This kit is full of fun tribal patterned papers and fun animal silhouettes. I am especially in love with all the floral embellishments in this kit. Do you want to see what the kit looks like?
There are so many possibilities with this kit. I of course immediately thought of all the zoo type photos I have just waiting to be scrapped, but many of our Stars thought outside of the box and blew my mind with the layouts they created. Here’s just a quick glance at a few…
Carrin was one of the first ones to post her layouts and I loved her take on this kit. She didn’t do the usual thing with this kit and she thought a bit outside of the box and thought to do a layout about the King Of Her Pride. I love the sepia photo and that it’s not framed exactly straight – in fact the frame is behind her photo. I like her simple use of embellishments and the way chose to do her title.
Lori also used this kit in an unexpected way. I love that this kit worked wonderfully with the shirt her son is wearing in the photo. She has some cute little clusters all around her page and I especially like the quotes on the wordstrips.
MK found a way to use this kit in a way other than zoo or safari type photos as well. She attended a Lion King type show and chose to scrap those pictures with this kit. I love the way the flower accents add to her photos and she kept her other embellishments to a minimum. I also like that her journaling is in yellow, it makes it easy to read.
If you want to see some possibilities with the zoo/safari type theme – keep reading. We had a few stars use those kind of photos with this kit.
I love Laina’s design. She has so many fun photos in this layout as well as lots of fun embellishments. I like that with every photo and with this design she found a way to limit distractions that can come from photos in public places. I also like that she chose to place 2 zebra silhouettes to go along with the theme of her layout.
Helen’s page is just beautiful, as she showed you on Thursday in her Photo Challenge. I love the way she masked her photo on top of the cardstock. Her photo is just as beautiful and I love that that is the focal point. She has some cute little clusters that really help her page stand out as well.
There you have it. So many ways to use such a wonderful kit. While looking at this kit and all the many more wonderful layouts from our Stars, I realized I have another group of pictures that this kit would work for – I’m sure you do as well. So go grab King Of The Pride and show us how you used this kit in our gallery.
