Welcome everyone to another edition of Saturday with the Stars. Before we get into today’s featured kit, I wanted to be sure to take a moment to let all of you Trixie Scraps fans out there in Oklahoma know that we hope you’re staying safe. You are all in our thoughts through these awful storms.
Today’s featured kit is just perfect for all your outdoor, summertime photos. Take a look at Sunshine Day.
This awesome kit just screams, fun in the sun to me. From the cute little weather elements to those leafy green trees to those adorable shades this kit is absolutely great for capturing all of your summer escapades in the sun. I really love the little details too, like the glittery edging on some of the elements, and the cool painted feel to the solid papers in the kit. As always, the Scrap Stars came up with some gorgeous layouts using this fab kit, so let’s take a look.
The composition of this page by Jessica P is so eye catching. I love the combination of the sunny and cloudy papers in the sunburst pattern projecting out from that central photo. Her clusters are beautiful, and the way she has used the center beam for her journaling was a great idea too.
I really love the neat border effect Stacey achieved on this page by stitching two papers together, it looks really cool. Her journaling gives great context to the photos, and you can almost feel the chill of that sprinkler water from the expressions in the pics. To top it all off, her title work, using a neat combination of fonts, is fabulous.
Laina really did a great job of capturing a family trip to the golf range on this layout. I love how perfectly the colors in those photos match with the colors in the kit, right down to that yellow shirt. All of the stacked patterned papers really give the page some depth, and the little clusters make a great accent too.
Lori has the pictures on this page arranged just perfectly to take full advantage of the sunburst background. I really like the photos of her little guy helping out with the mowing. The sunny colors that she has used work perfectly with the pics, and the little paper strips in behind the photo add a nice touch. I also love the word art she has used for her title.
I really love the cool hexagonal pattern that Helen G has created along the side of this page using photos and patterned papers. It gives a really neat feel to the page. The rest of the page has the feel of a warm summer day, with the lone tree sitting under the slightly clouded sun. The papers she has chosen as mats are also an excellent touch.
I hope these layouts have inspired you. Sunshine Day can be picked up at an Trixie Scraps store, so be sure to go pick it up to scrap all your fabulous summer photos.
