Saturday With The Stars: Apples For Teacher (Revisited)

It’s that time of year again – we get to send all the kiddos off to school and enjoy some time to ourselves, or at least spend it with a few less little people running around. So whether you’re just getting ready to send the kids off, or if you’ve had them sent off for a couple weeks now, I’m sure most of you took first day pictures. I know from Facebook that a ton of my friends did and I took some as well, and Trixie has a perfect kit to scrap those photos with.

This kit was released last year, but this is the perfect time to revisit Apples For Teacher. I love all the fun embellishments this kit has in it. I also think the color palette in this kit reflects all the feelings I had when I was in school and went back that first day every year.

Here’s a look at what some of our Stars have used this kit to create.

I love how many ribbons and borders Jessica was able to use in her layout. She also chose a design that let her use multiple photos to tell the whole story. I also love that she included a couple little mementos from the day into her layout.

MK’s blended photo drew me into her layout right away. I love that the full body photo is the main focal point of the layout, but that there is still a smaller photo attached to the layout as well. I love the way MK bordered her photo and all her fun and amazing clusters on this page.

Laina’s layout made wonderful use of whitespace. I love her choice of papers and I think they all work quite well together. I love that her title and journaling are all in one area of her layout. I also love the way she used the embellishments from this kit, especially the ribbons.

Kassie used this layout not for a back to school photo, but for an award layout. I love this idea. I also love the design in this layout. The way Kassie framed her photo is amazing and I can’t believe how amazing that cluster work is. I also like that she was able to use different alphas for her title, but it really works well together.

Jennifer was able to use this kit for something other than a school related layout. She took advantage of the apple theme running throughout this kit and used it for a page about a fun activity. I love that Jennifer was able to use so many of the wonderful papers that come in this kit on one layout. She also made great use of the apple embellishments and I love the way she used them on this layout.
