Congratulations on making it through another week, Trixie fans!
Lately when I listen to music on my computer or on Pandora, they are both conspiring against me and playing Christmas songs. Due to this, I’ve been hearing the song My Favorite Things quite a bit. So because that song has been stuck in repeat in my head, I decided to share a few of my favorite kits with you this week for Saturday With The Stars.
We’ll start out with Love In The Garden.
I’ve had a love of gnomes since I was a little girl, so when this kit came out I was ecstatic! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I love how playful this kit is and I love the fact that even just looking at the kit preview can bring a smile to my face. Plus our Stars have done some amazing work with this kit.
Laina takes photoless layouts to a whole new level with her layout. This is such a cute and fun layout and I love that she chose to document a dream of hers in this way. She made awesome use of the elements included in this kit and her placement is just amazing.
Helen’s layout will prove to be a perfect memory for her little girl. I love her series of photos in this layout and all the papers she has blocked underneath her photos. And even though she didn’t put any gnomes in this layout, I love her use of flowers and other elements. She also has a super fun title.
The next kit is I’ll Be There.
Besides loving the song that this kit is based off of, I have been a fan of the blending of this green and pink for a long time. The black helps add some subtlety to it. I also love how many word art pieces there are in this kit. They make for some super simple journaling or title work.
Carrin’s layout proves my point about the word art serving as your journaling or title. It may be a super, simple phrase but it says so much when put together with the photo. Carrin has some great cluster work and I love her use of white space.
Stacey’s layout is just beautiful. I really like the design of this layout. I like the picture framed with ribbon as well as all of Stacey’s amazing cluster work. Her journaling is super heartfelt and she has a beautiful title.
Finally, let’s take a look at All About Me: The Littles.
Once again, the color palette in this kit is what draws me in time and time again. It is perfect for little kids and so reminiscent of childhood. I love the font of the alpha and I also love all the little wordstrips that come with this kit. Here’s what a couple of our Stars used this kit to create.
I love the color choice of Shauna’s layout. She made perfect use of white space and I love the paper/ribbon combination criss-crossing each other behind the photo. She included a beautiful little cluster to the side of the photo and I love the way she created her title.
Trixie used this kit herself and I love this layout. I love the subtle pink shading on the background paper. I also love all the little word strips Trixie used on this layout. Her clusters and layering are seriously amazing and I love the added look of the little dots around the page.
So there you have it folks, just a few of my favorite kits. Why don’t you go take a look around the shop and grab a couple kits you may have forgotten about that may just turn into a new favorite. Then when you’re done creating some wonderful layouts, share your work in our gallery, we love seeing new layouts!
