I can’t believe it’s the last weekend of October. I don’t know where October went, but it’s going and it’s going fast. We can’t let it go without sharing the wonderful layouts our Stars put together using Trixie’s GGI kit for October. It’s called Triumphant.
I am in love with this kit. I’m such a sucker for word art and this kit is full of them. I also like the fun alpha in the kit. This kit is also so very masculine and you can never have enough masculine kits. I’ve yet to come up with the perfect pictures to use with this kit, but after looking at what our Stars did with it, I have some ideas. I think you’ll feel the same way after seeing these layouts.
Let’s kick things off with Jennifer’s layout. I absolutely love the fact that she made a layout of her son riding his big wheel. You don’t normally think to take pictures of that feat, just the big bikes, so I love that she took these pictures and made a layout with it. I love that Jennifer was able to incorporate so many of the word arts in her layout. Her little star elements add the perfect amount of pop to her layout. Finally I love her choice in title.
Next comes Carrin. Her photo really draws your eye in. She put some amazing clusters all throughout her layout and I love the ribbons as well. I really like her paper choices as well, especially the brown one that gives this layout a rustic, manly feel.
I love that Lori was able to use this kit with portraits. I’m loving all of the star clusters she has all around this layout. I also really like the stacked papers. I also like that the faux stacked photos give this page some extra dimension. Finally I love her simple title and journaling that accompany this page.
And while this kit has a mostly masculine feel to it, it is possible to create a softer, more feminine page as well. Helen did just that. She also incorporated a bunch of the word arts, which I absolutely love. I really like that she used one with her title. She chose great papers that works well with each other and kept her clusters simple so they don’t overshadow her cute photos.
Finally, one of my favorite layouts comes from Kris. I was thrilled to see her layout. Not only is her son in gymnastics, this layout is very masculine in look and feel. I love the skewed, stacked papers and the way Kris used elements. I am also loving the photo of her son on the pommel horse.
Now that you’ve seen the possibilities with this kit, create your own possibilities and then come share them with us in the gallery.
