Saturday with the Stars January 18, 2014 {A Few of My Favourite Things}

It looks like the Trixie Scraps Stars are taking a bit of a hiatus – there’s not much new in the gallery at the moment so I thought I might just take a wander through the Gallery and pick out a few of my favourite layouts… the ones I’d scraplift in a heartbeat. So here, in no particular order, are the layouts that really caught my eye.

This one from new Star Jenny, using Autumn Spice, is simple but eye-catching because of her wonderful photos.

I really like the way this Blue Jean Boy layout by Jennifer not only gets attention, but also puts a smile on my face.

I really love this one by Mary Kate, using Blue Christmas. That border makes me drool. Seriously.

New Star Berniek’s double layout is beyond cute. I love how the photos tell the story and how she’s made good use of her embellishments without overpowering them. She also used Blue Jean Boy.

Helen’s layout, with its strong diagonal and off-centre focal point, is so pretty. Her embellishments are well-chosen and carefully deployed. The kit is Croaky Kisses.

I really love the use of white space in Bethie’s layout, created with Vacation Bible School (a North Meets South Studios collaboration). That cluster at the bottom provided the perfect balance to her large top cluster. Stunning!
