Journaling On Your Layouts Tutorial

Do you struggle with journaling on your layouts? I used to when I first started scrapbooking, I was never quite sure what to type. So I tried it from a different point of view.
99% of my layouts are photos of my little girl- they are her pages so most of the time I journal as if it was her speaking. Like this layout:

But then there are the pages where I want to just talk to her, or tell her something, so those are the pages I speak as myself.

I never worry about sounding perfect or using the ‘right’ words, I just type as if I was talking to her. I find that this way my words are true and they reflect the person I am. When I journal from my daughters perspective I try use words I could hear her saying when describing a photo or a memory.

Try it when you get stuck in a jam with journaling. Speak from a different perspective- it gives you a different way of recording a moment.
