Welcome to another Special Request Sunday on the Trixie Scraps blog.
Special Request Sunday Winner
Normally, this is where we’d announce a winner…but we had no entries for last month. That is really kind of sad. Remember we can’t award a free kit to you, if you don’t enter! We need people to play the game in order to award prizes!
December’s Special Request Question
So let’s talk about December. It is the season of family, fun and gift-giving.
My question for you this month is, which of Trixie’s kits would you gift to a friend just starting out in the digital scrapbooking world?
I think I’d gift them either Bratitude or Love In The Garden. I love how versatile Bratitude is and how it can be used for girls both old and young. Plus all the glitter elements just keep me happy. Love in the Garden is a cute kit and it’s another kit that can be used in a number of different ways. I’d finish off my gift giving by steering them to the template packs as well as that is a great starting point for any beginner.
Let’s Make You A Winner
Want to win a kit of your choosing? Simply leave us a comment below with the answer of what gift you’d give and you’ll automatically be entered into next month’s Special Request Sunday. Seriously, it’s so simple a trained monkey could do it. (Assuming it knew how to read and write…and type)
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and we’ll see you next month! Hopefully with lots of entries to choose a winner from!!!

I’d give a new scrapper a copy of Photoshop Elements and a subscription to a site that has classes!

Thanks, Robin – and I’m sorry if we missed you from last month. I’m nearly certain that all our comments moved over with the migration from Blogger, but it’s possible one or two were lost in the fray. Best of luck this month, instead!

I would gift bratitude. Appealing colors and versatile.

That’s strange, I know I entered last month about being thankful for my hubby and kids. It was on the other blog, though. I would gift Best Year Ever to a friend. It’s a very versatile and beautiful kit! I would love to have A Thankful Heart-the kit colors are so pretty and I love the flowers. Thanks for the chance! lynngoshert@yahoo.com

I’d gift a Life That’s Good. Just think about all the good things that go one in your life.

While I agree with you that both Bratitute and Love In The Garden are kits any scrapper would enjoy, including someone new to digital scrapbooking (like me!), my first choice would probably be for ‘It’s His Birthday’.
While at first glance the kit may look like it is limited to birthday pages I think it really has a lot of versatility and a limited colour palette to make things easy for a beginner to put together cohesive pages that ooze style. The balloons, flowers and folded paper embellishments could be used for any occasion, not just birthdays, and the cupcakes would be great for cooking and picnic layouts. Clips, ribbons and stars are pretty much a staple of any layout too!

what gorgeous kits ~ so different but both very versatile ~I think I would gift a friend with Bratitude cause I love the colors ~
Thank you so much for the chance to win

I’d choose Love in the Garden for a newbie scrapper! I feel that the primary colors are more versatile, and the elements in this kit can really be used for anything!!
Thanks for the chance!

Love in the garden would be a great first kit as there are enough non-themed embellishments to make just about any type of page. The use of primary colors for the kit helps to make it somewhat versatile with many photographs.

I don’t normally enter giveaways, the odds are never really in my favor, but here goes. I would give “31 Days Has December” because if I’m gifting it for Christmas, I would think she would want to start with Christmas, I mean she would have a lot of Christmas photos and it really is a good place to start. Hope I played the game correctly. I will be on the look out for the next one.
Tracy says
You did!! And even if you don’t win this month, you can’t win it unless you’re “in it” as they say 🙂 hope to see you participate more often!

I’ll Be There b/c it has beautiful colors, lots of elements, AND it showcases how word art can be used so perfectly! I also like Love In The Garden for the colors and the gnomes!
Seriously, though, if it was in my power (read pocketbook), I’d give a newbie EVERY kit….

A Life That’s Good. Has a good selection of the basics needed, flowers, ribbons, stitches etc.
Kat says
Oh, the Bratitude kit is cute! Even if I wouldn’t use all of it for a page, I like the glittery finish.
Tracy says
Thank you so much – glad you like it!
