It’s the first Friday of the month which means it’s time to feature a new free font that will make a great addition to any page. I love any font that Kimberly Geswein creates, but when searching through Kimberly’s website this little beauty, the KG Primary Whimsy font, caught my eye right away.
I love how all the letters are on a slight angle and, as an early childhood teacher, the perfect penmanship is awesome (I especially love that the lower case A is “regular” – you know, without that annoying cap! Weird, I know, but it’s a pet peeve of mine when it comes to fonts!) As an added bonus, this font is a very easy font to read no matter what size you make it! This font is just screaming to be used for journaling on just about any layout, but I can totally see it on a child-focused one.
Here’s one I did of the Trunk or Treat my children and I just attended. I actually organized it for the student group that I run at school. I had so much fun watching my children mingle with my students and other young children from the local community. The families who participated really got into decorating their trunks! It was such an awesome day and I can’t wait to start planning for next year! I used Witches Brew, a North Meets South collab kit, and the Apples for Teacher bonus alpha pack.
Head on over and download this font and then make sure you come back to the Trixie Scraps Gallery and show us how you used it. Happy Scrapping!
