December 6th – Christmas Best

As a child, I can remember my mom getting my sister and I dressed in our Christmas Best for dinner at my grandmother’s house with all my aunts, uncles and cousins. She still reminds me that I used to make her carry extra tights in her purse. Somehow my tights would always end up with runs in them on the drive from our house to grandma’s (I wonder how that happened?!?). Now that I have children of my own, I always start scouring the stores for holiday outfits, preferably matching ones, in late September. My oldest daughter practically insists now that she and the two-year-old wear the same clothes for all major holidays. I love it! Do you, or your children, get new outfits for Christmas? Do you have to match or is everyone in something different?
