One of my favorite things about the holidays is opening the mailbox each day, sifting through all the bills and junk mail and finding the pretty red and green envelopes of holiday cards. I know some people have gotten away from sending the traditional card, but there are still some of us that love getting them! I even pack away all of the cards in my cute little snowman holder and look through them the next year as I am decorating the house again. It’s nice to see how things have changed in just a few short months…and it helps to organize how many cards I need to send out this year. There are so many different places that offer tons of customizable options for holiday cards, but I love to create my own. What better way to get inspiration than to take a stroll through the Trixie Scraps Gallery! I found a slew of layouts that are just calling out to be transformed into your holiday card.
Inspiration Layouts
I love the large photo on this layout by Mary Kate. If you have a photo that you absolutely love, you can make that the focus of your card with just a few clustered elements and your greeting.
This page by JessicaP is a great layout to scraplift for a card. The borders are super cute and the centered composition can be cropped quite easily.
I just love this page by Bpowersj. The multiple photos make it a great choice for a “year in review” card or if you have too many photos to choose from!
The Challenge
This week, I challenge you to scraplift a custom holiday card. Take a stroll through the Trixie Scraps gallery and find a layout that wows you, then transform it into your own holiday card. If you participate make sure to upload to the new challenge gallery so that we can leave you some love. If you need a little more inspiration, here’s the card that I will be sending out this year (The photo spot is blank because we just had them done on Saturday and I haven’t gotten the files from my super awesome photog friend yet. I’m going to use a shot of the kids in their crocheted elf hats…so cute!). Have a terrific Thursday!
