Hello everyone, Shauna here and I’m going to give you a recipe and then let’s cook up a layout. Are you a strict recipe follower or are you a toss a little of this and a little of that recipe person. Well I tried to give you some leeway on this recipe, so you could do either. I know that when I put together a page using a recipe sometimes I want to add or take away something, and I give you permission to do that with this recipe, the goal is to make a page you love.
Recipe
5-7 Papers – now I love papers, and layering them on a layout is one of my favorite things to do
2-3 Ribbons/Strings
6-10 Pieces of Greenery
4-6 Flowers
5 – 6 Other Elements
Title using an alpha and font
1-3 Photos
Now if you are doing a boy’s page and don’t want flowers substitute other elements for them. Want more than 6 flowers, use your flowers for you other elements. The important part is you mix everything up and get a page you love.
My Page
I used one of my dogs, Hollywood, for my layout. He has been under my feet for the last week or so due to thunderstorms. He is scared of them, but gets calm if he can lay on my feet, or lay beside my sister. Now that is sweet and all, but if I’m trying to get things done, it becomes a big hassle to have a 60 pound dog right next to you. I call him trouble all of the time, and he is. But I love him, even when he is under foot.
The Kit Used
I used the newest kit by North Meets South Studios called Nature Boy. I really love the colors in the kit for “manly” layouts, but it also has flower so you can make lots of different pages with it. I like the bugs, frog and snake elements, because they just scream little boy to me. As always it is just a great kit.
Now it is time for you to cook up your own layout. Use Trixie Scraps products (which include North Meets South Studios) and upload your layout to the gallery, so you can been seen in the Sunday Show-offs. Plus we love seeing the pages you make.
