How is it already May 1st?!?!?! I am in total shock. This year is going by way too fast. Since it is the first Friday of the month, that means it’s time to feature a new free font! I’ve been on a font kick lately and I’ve been looking for a few good, sturdy fonts that can stand up to being used as a page title. I did some searching and came across a new-to-me font designer, Khrys Bosland, and some of her darling creations.
May’s Font to Love – KB StickToIt!
I love the bubble letters. This font lends itself to so many different looks…you can leave the inside of the letters blank, put some background paper in as filler or even use a bunch of different colors to vary the look. You can click on the preview or THIS LINK to download the font from FontSpace.
Inspiration Layout
Here’s one I did of my son on the soccer field. Last year, he played mainly in goal (because he doesn’t have to run as much back there!). This year, he is playing for a different coach who wants to give the players the chance to play all the positions, so my son is lucky to get in goal for at least one quarter each game. Other than that, he’s learning to play defensive and offensive positions and play better with his new teammates. I used We Love Soccer for this page. I chose to layer a soccer ball paper behind the font (I used it for the name of my son’s team) as well as hit it with a bit of a double stroke (white black, then white). I love the look of it! I used it for the journal bit, too…I backed with the white and gave it a small stroke with black.
Head on over and download this font and then make sure you come back to the Trixie Scraps Gallery and show us how you used it. Happy Scrapping!
