Welcome back to another Wisdom Wednesday here on the Trixie Scraps blog. I am so glad to be back with you (in some form, anyway). It’s been a few weeks since I had my baby and I haven’t had the chance to do a post in that time, so I was super excited to be able to do another Wisdom Wednesday for you.
For The Sisters
When I started the layout for this post, I had no idea what quote I was going to use or what I was even going to scrap, so I started going through my pictures and found the perfect pictures and then the perfect quote to follow.
The pictures I found were a few years old, but I hadn’t scrapped them yet and have always loved them. The pictures are of me and my two sisters (and a nephew and my son) taken at my grandma’s 90th birthday party. In an effort to differentiate my grandma’s kids families, each family wore a different color. This meant that my two sisters and I were all in color coordinated outfits. I can guarantee you that almost NEVER happens! My older sister isn’t really all that fashion forward, my little sister is very fashion oriented and I fall somewhere in between – therefore for us to match at any given time is rare.
I then went looking for the quote and found the following:
“A good friend knows all of your best stories, a sister has lived them with you.”
I loved this quote. Although I really enjoy the times I have with my friends, they will never be as good as the times I spend with my sisters.
Sisters Layout
And here’s a looky-see at the layout I created.
For this layout I used a fairly new kit, Ewe Loves Ya?. I also used the layout featured in our most recent Layout Challenge. I did have to steal the bow element on the top of my page from the kit, Black Tie Event.
If you’re lucky enough to have sisters, I’d love to see how you put this quote to use for you. Link up in the comments below or post your layouts in the Trixie Scraps Gallery at Gingerscraps.
