Hi all, it is time for us to cook up a layout with this month’s recipe challenge. I love recipe challenges because they give me just enough guidelines to kick start a page, but everyone’s pages still look different. So let’s see this month’s recipe.
May’s Recipe
May’s Recipe
6 Papers
1 Photo
10-15 Elements (flowers, greenery, buttons, stars, hearts, etc.)
2 Ribbons/Strings
1 Frame
1 Word Art
Now I believe a recipe is a good starting point, but just like in cooking sometimes you have to add or take away to make the final “dish” something you love. So feel free to add or subtract if you need to make the page you love. I made my page with a photo of a friend’s family. It was taken before the tragic lose of the father. My friend often tells me this is one of her favorite photos, because they were all so happy, and even if it isn’t a perfect photo, it is a perfect memory.
I used Trixie’s new kit called Capture Moments (which I love) along with the matching Capture Moments Bonus Paper and Capture Moments Word Art. The color are just so happy and bright. I decided to use the word art because I love that they are fast titles, but really add dimension to the page as well. Here is what the kit looks like.
I…ok all of us, love seeing what you create with Trixie’s kits. Once you’ve finished your layout, make sure to upload your page to Trixie Scraps Gallery at GingerScraps or any other open gallery and post it here on the blog post. Happy Scrapping!!!
