The Low-Down

Referencing my question in the title: Who’s in need of a blacksword? I’m not talking a real sword, of course and if I were to have sword it would be a color other than black. But today’s font is entitled Blacksword.

The Why

Why did I choose Blacksword for today’s layout. I’ll be honest and tell you that I spent way more time exploring dafont.com than I should have. I rationalized it though because I was feeding my baby during some of that time and I also have a nasty cold – so I can do what I want when I’m sick, right?

Anyway, I knew which kit and photos I wanted to use for my layout, but finding the right font was a different story. I was looking for something that looked somewhat sophisticated (for lack of a better word), yet fun at the same time. It also had to work well for journaling. When I found Blacksword, I knew I had found the winner. It had everything I was searching for and if you’re into flourishes with your fonts – Blacksword has them included.

The Example

Here’s a look at Blacksword in action. For my layout I used one of Trixie newest kit releases, Summer Road Trip. It is a seriously fun kit and perfect for any road trips/vacations you may have taken this summer.
