20 Questions with Fran

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Stacy here with a super fun edition of Who Are You Wednesday. I had a lot of fun with this interview, and I hope you will enjoy reading it. So get ready…it’s time for 20 questions with FRAN!!!

1. Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Chicago. My husband is from Kokomo, IN, so I live here now.

2. List 5 words that describe you.
Only 5?? Sarcastic, ornery, kind, thoughtful and amusing.

3. How long have you been scrapping?
I probably started digital scrapping in 2006. I paper scrapped for a few years prior to that, but my paper layouts were still very beginnerish.

4. How long have you been on Trixie’s team?
I think I joined late last summer… maybe in autumn, so closing in on a year.

5. What is your favorite Trixie product?
Um all of them? No? Probably Sunday Afternoon… maybe. Maybe not.

6. What are your favorite elements to use?
I’ve been clustering a lot lately, so various ribbons, straight and curly, and flowers and other doodads you can cluster with.

7. Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
Introvert. Without the internet I would be lonely.

8. What other hobbies do you enjoy?
There are others? I used to do things like cross stitch, but I never do them anymore so I sold all my supplies on EBAY! WOO! Sold my paper scrap stickers too.

9. What’s the last book you read? Was it any good? (I’m always looking for new books LOL)
I picked up Turkey Day Murder by Leslie Meier and finished that a day or two ago. I moved into another book by that author Christmas Cookie Murder. Food and murder go well together.

10. What is your favorite song? What song makes you go YUCK and change the radio station?
I feel so out of the loop. Living in the middle of nowhere, we don’t have many options to listen to, so we usually end up listening to a classic rock station that plays mostly rock from the 80s, which is what I grew up with so that suits me fine. But when I put on music, it’s usually Disney songs from movies (not teenager stuff) or Broadway songs. And I sing along.

11. What was your favorite subject in school?
I was a math geek.

12. When do you find time to scrap? What do you listen to while you are scrapping?
When do I not find time to scrap? Although I never watch tv, my family is full of tv addicts, so I usually hear tv while I scrap.

13. What’s your favorite snack?
All of them.

14. Hollywood is making a movie about your life. Who is playing you?
The most gorgeous blonde out there… skinny one too!… I’m so out of touch, I don’t know any current popular ones.

15. Have you ever taken the Pepsi challenge?
Yes, yes I have. You get a cracker between drinks.

16. What’s your favorite ride at Disney World?
My favorite attraction is not a ride, it’s a 3D movie, Philharmagic. It starts with Mickey and his symphony band, which he magically plays with his sorcerer’s hat. Donald has to set up the instruments and troublesome duck that he is, he puts on the hat and ends up in many different worlds of other Disney characters and songs. You go to the Beast’s castle for dinner and Lumiere sings and the dishes dance and apple pie is scented in the theater and champagne corks pop. Then you go to Fantasia and the walking brooms with pails of water and they keep stepping on poor Donald and then he finds a baby broom and he’s gonna bully it and then it’s mother shows up and splashes us. Then we are under the sea with Ariel and she reaches out to grab us and throws precious gems at us. Then Donald kisses an electric eel trying to kiss Ariel. Then he heads to Africa and Simba can’t wait to be king. Donald gets tossed around by the large animals for a bit. Then he goes to London and sees Peter Pan and can’t fly… he’s a failure at duck… so he needs pixie dust and then end up in Agraba on a flying carpet and they go through the streets and he hits fruit and it flies at us and he ends up in women’s clothing. Then the hat he’s been looking for ends up on Jasmine and Aladdin’s flying carpet, they are singing of course… and Jasmine is nice and gives it back to Donald. Then he time warps back to the stage with Mickey and he gets stuck in a tuba and gets tossed to the back of the theater. Then he gets stuck in the wall, says “uh oh” and falls. Was that more than you wanted to know?

17. What chore do you absolutely hate to do?
All of them, but dishes especially.

18. Be honest…do you read the covers of the National Enquirer while standing in line at the grocery store?
I may look at the covers briefly, but my hub does most of the grocery shopping.

19. What’s better…a snake in the grass or snakes on a plane?
There’s a snake in my boot.

20. What is your dream vacation?
Going to Europe and visiting real castles.
