Welcome back to another Saturday with the Stars. Today I want to focus on templates. Trixie Scraps has a variety of awesome template packs to help you get over the “lack of mojo” hump and get your creativity flowing again. Templates are not just there for us to scrap faster, but can help spur us to design a better layout.
Template Samples from the CT
I am taking a small sample of layouts from the Trixie Scraps Stars to give you an example of what a template can do to help you make a layout you can be proud of.
First, we have Shilo’s layout using a template from Bursting with Photos v. 2.
I love how she used a variety of papers for the burst’s rays and how she made a banner from the flair available in the kit.
Next, I want to show you a layout from Carrin and the Fill It Up v.1 template pack.
I love how Carrin added some additional background papers, especially the scalloped paper along with the stitching. A simple variation that produced a very eye-catching layout.
Finally, Shauna makes a simple, yet effective, tweak of a template from the If The Slipper Fits templates.
Shauna rotated the template! It is a simple thing to do and can give you a different look as well as giving you more use for the template.
So, feel free to peruse the templates available in the Trixie Scraps store and maybe even pick up some for your scrapbooking arsenal. And, if you use a Trixie Scraos template and kit, don’t forget to post it in the gallery for our Sunday Show-offs and receive a prize for doing so.
