Greetings!

Hi, Trixie fans! I hope that June has gotten off to a wonderful start for you and your loved ones. Here in Oklahoma, the rains have finally stopped, the sunny days are long, and all of the kids are on summer vacation. It’s the time of the year that a lot of us parents are looking for ways to keep the kids occupied.

Let’s Explore!

On this installment of Sentiment Sunday, we are focusing on the word “explore.” The dictionary defines “explore” as

• to look into, study, or analyze
• to travel for adventure or discovery
• to examine in order to diagnose
• to learn about something by trying it

Exploring is something that we definitely are looking forward to this summer. My daughter has expressed interest in learning about other cultures and countries, and so we are planning to do some “around the world” studies, as well as visiting ethnic grocery stores and shops in town. She is wanting to sign up for foreign language and science classes at the local kids college. And our family is finally going on a bona-fide vacation. We will be heading out to explore southwest Colorado and Santa Fe, and are looking forward to visiting Mesa Verde and Durango. It is our vacation that inspired my “explore” layout.
