Hi all, today we are going to have some fun with a chalkboard font. I readily admit I love fonts, maybe too much (since I have almost 2000). But I keep adding and recently I found a set of chalkboard fonts and just couldn’t resist. There are all kinds of chalkboard fonts, and you can get lots of them for free. I use four or five of mine on a regular basis to make titles for my layouts. I think they look cool especially if I have a dark paper to use with them. Today I’m going to to show you the font Return To Sender, which is probably my favorite to use in titles because it is an all caps font.
I used this font in a layout featuring my new baby dog, Marley. Marley is slowly warming up us, which is great, because he is a sweet little dog. I like the look of the chalkboard font against the dark grunge paper I used from the kit After 10 Years. I debated about doing the journal portion in a chalkboard font as well because there are some great ones for that as well, but decided I wanted the title to stand out more.
Now I love the kit I used because it is packed with hearts but it isn’t pink and girlish. The name of the kit is After 10 Years and it’s elegant and yet still a little whimsical. And I love the grunge effect on the solid papers. Plus it is packed with great elements that are hard to resist. Here is a preview of the kit.
If you make a layout using Return To Sender we would love to see it. Post it in the Trixie Scraps Gallery at GingerScraps and then post a link to it here in the comments. Also if you have some wonderful chalkboard fonts that you’ve found feel free to link them up here as well, I love new fonts.
