Hello everyone, this is Shauna and today I’m going to challenge you to create a layout with less than perfect photos. Since there are five Thursdays in June, the 5th Thursday is a wildcard challenge and it is an anything goes type of challenge. I thought about all different kinds of challenges, but I kept coming back to this one. I don’t know about you but sometimes the photos I take aren’t perfect. It could be they are a little fuzzy or the subject was hard to catch or the environment interfered. And often I mumble to myself because I can’t go back and recapture the moment, but I still want to scrap about it. And I finally realized that even if the photos aren’t perfect they are still worth scrapping.
The Less Than Perfect Challenge
So my challenge to you is to scrap a layout that has at least one less than perfect photo or more. I scrapped about my niece’s daddy daughter dance at her wedding. Unfortunately it decided to rain, so they danced in the only covered spot, which was farther away from me and I had to shot the photos through the rain. But even though the photos aren’t perfect they do show the love and laughter they shared during the dance and that is what is most important.
Now the photos aren’t wonderful, but with the help of Trixie’s wonderful kit called Motherhood, I was able to create a layout that was beautiful and really showed off the wonderful moment in time. Now if you’ve not seen the kit, here is what it looks like (and the photo is linked). It is beautiful and elegant and perfect for all kinds of layouts.
So now I would love to see layouts you create with less than perfect photos. Post them at Trixie’s Gingerscrap Gallery and leave a link in the comments section.
