Hello Trixie Scraps fans, and welcome to Wednesday Wisdom! Thank you for stopping by, and I hope that you will find some inspiration in today’s quote.
My daughter joined Girl Scouts earlier this year, and in September, we went on her first Girl Scout camping trip. I was not involved in Scouts as a child, so I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the camp and discovered that it was going to be a real camping experience. The girls learned how to pitch tents, build fires, and and cook meals outdoors for themselves. My daughter has wanted to go camping for years, and so I was tickled that she was finally able to have this experience and learn new skills at the same time.
When I sat down to scrap some of the photos and memories of this trip, I went over to Pinterest for some inspiration. And while perusing a Girl Scout quote and inspiration board, I ran across this Eleanor Roosevelt quote that seemed to sum up so many of my feelings about the experience.
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
–Eleanor Roosevelt
This is the page that I created, using the quote from Eleanor Roosevelt in lieu of traditional storytelling. That will come on another page!
Of course I also needed a fantastic kit to go along with my photos and the quote, and luckily, North Meets South Studios (aka Trixie and Connie Prince) created Scouting is for Girls, which is a perfect kit for capturing Girl Scout memories.
I also used one of Trixie’s fun Stampers Block Vol 1 templates to put my page together.
If you create a scrapbook page with this quote using Trixie’s products, please upload it to our gallery, as we would love to see your interpretation of this week’s Wednesday Wisdom. I wish all of you a wonderful week, and happy scrapping!
