It’s always sad to see good kits go, but it’s time once again for some kits to retire. But before they go, we want to show you what’s going away and some great layouts made with these kits. Best part about this retirement ‘party’ is that these kits and add ons are only $1 – $2. They will only be in the shop until the end of the month though, so grab them fast.
We’ll start off with Autumn on The Lake. I love all the fun, fall colors in this kit. It also has glittery fall leaf elements as well as wooden frames and alpha.
Here’s a wonderful layout by Lori. I love the way the orange ribbon and her son’s orange jacket play off of each other. I also like that she used the wooden frame I mentioned before and the way she decorated around it. I also like that she kept the layout kind of child like with her title and that she made use of such open space in her photo for her title.
The next kit that will be retiring is Carving Up Fun. I really love Halloween so this is a kit that I really enjoy. I love all the different faces on the jack-o-lanterns and get this, that they are all individual. I love the little pumpkin carving tool elements in this kit and the fun little pumpkin face outlines.
Jennifer made great use of this kit on her 2 page layout. I absolutely love the fact that Jennifer is wearing a jack-o-lantern type shirt and the picture of her son making a fun face. Because of this, it made perfect sense for Jennifer to use all the fun jack-o-lantern elements on her layout.
Winter On The Mountain is the next kit we have to say goodbye to. This kit holds a special place in my heart as it was the first winter-themed kit of Trixie’s I worked with. I love how this kit can work for a Christmas type layout, but it is also great for just a wintertime layout. I love the fun little elements in this kit, especially the little snowman.
Laina’s layout incorporated many of the fun background papers this kit has. I also like that this layout is a ‘though the years’ type layout. She has great use of white space and I love the way the scalloped border looks against the polka-dotted background.
Another outdoorsy/mountainy kit is headed out. If you are a camper, this kit is one of those that is perfect for you. I love the feel I get just looking at this kit. It makes me want to pack up and head out to the mountains. I think I’ll wait for the weather to warm up, though. I absolutely love the color palette of this kit and the fun little animal elements as well. Say goodbye to Great Wilderness Lodge.
Berniek’s layout is all about the bear. I love her photographs of the bear with the cabin in the background. This kit was the perfect choice to pair with those photos. I love the fun cut out look of the trees and the fun stitching at the bottom of this layout.
We will now switch gears and say goodbye to a couple of our template packs. Seeing Double 1, 2 and 3are headed out. As well as You’re So Square Vol. 1. So grab these template packs while you can. Templates are a great resource to have and are really helpful in a bind.
Here’s a look at a few layouts made with these templates.
Kris used Seeing Double 1
Stacey used Seeing Double 2 for her one page layout.
Remember, these kits and template packs are only going to be around until the end of the month. Don’t miss out on them and the really great prices. Then, as always, please come share your work in our gallery.
